DECISION TIME

Although mostly the "same ole, same ole" is the status quo; I thought I would post an update. We have been mostly working, coming home to our motorhome in the evenings, relaxing and preparing for the next day of work. Exciting life style eh?

We have been going to the "sticks and bricks" on weekends to sort through some of our belongings and prepare to get rid of a lot of stuff. I still have not taken any steps towards the major repairs to our house, I am trying to decide if I should have the repairs accomplished or sell the house "as is" at a discounted price. I know the quicker I sell the house, the quicker I may be able to retire and travel a whole lot more.

Another decision I am wrestling with concerns where to have some warranty work done on our coach. I have taken it to a local service center that will do the work, but I don't know if I am getting the same quality of work that I would at the Tiffin factory. I need the front heat pump checked out, a leak at the bottom of the entry door solved/repaired, the dining room slide checked out/adjusted, and as of late the home entertainment system repaired (HDMI cable came apart). I have to wonder how long it would take at Red Bay and if I would need to take one week of leave or two??

That is just a quick summary of what is happening in our lives presently. We hope to take another leisurely weekend trip soon (we sure need it). Until next time may God bless us all.....

You could always put the house on the market "as is" and see what happens. Set a time, say 3 months, and then if there has been no interest or your realtor feels it is a good move, you could pull it and get the work done.

We are hoping for a better market in a few months from now.

You can get an express visit for three hours of service fairly quickly at Red Bay.. Without an appointment. Call and see how far they are backed up. It may not be as bad as you are e envisioning. It has always amazed me how much they can get done in the three hours.... It is because they know exactly how things work and have seen a 100 broken ones before yours. They will fix your HDMI cable by coming right to your site, because the electronics guys work out of a different office up in the front building. They straightened out my TV system in about 20 minutes.....

Don if you go you have to bug them about getting in a Express Bay. Jimmy Oliver is the scheduler there and if you go see him he will try to work you in as soon as he can. Being under warranty means the stay there is free. No water at the site but sewer and electric. Be sure you keep a full tank of water. You can get it on site there but you have to move to the wash area to get it. I would plan on two weeks...we did and with a little prodding we got all our items done. One thing about Red Bay they know what they are doing and can get it done fast. Call me if you need anymore info

Hi Guys

Congratulations on the new home! I was supposed to leave on my adventure last October and was incredibly disappointed when I realized it would be impossible. But it was quickly put in perspective when I realized I had way to much to do, anyway. Now, even with only 60 days to go, I still feel like I'm way behind! As busy as I am, I know time will just fly by...hang in there!

Don, if you can get into Lazy Days in Tampa, they are great with Tiffins. Probably not much closer for you, but the weather sure is better than Red Bay in February. Good luck, our last stay in Red Bay was 7 weeks,,,but they did get everything fixed!
